Fuel prices have been hiked. In the capital petrol will cost 2 rupees and 71 paise a liter more while diesel will cost more by 2 rupees and fifty five paise a liter. This was announced by the government in New Delhi today. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today raised customs and excise duties on petrol and diesel in the General Budget. The hiked rates come into effect from mid-night tonight.
