Team sent by I&B Ministry headed by Registrar of Newspapers for India S M Khan is reaching Pune tonight to find solution to the 70 days old strike by FTII students. They will have discussion with agitating students at 11 A.M. tomorrow. AIR correspondent reports that students are in no mood for any compromise on their demand for Gajendra Chauhans removal and there is another side of this issue.

After arrest and bail of FTII students who tried to attract media attention by midnight hostage drama FTII administration today called private security guards in the premises. Police Security at FTII is also increased. From yesterday's incidences it is clear that appointment of Gajendra Chauhan is not only issue. As of now the central issue between striking FTII students and the I&B ministry is the assessment of the 40 students belonging to 2008 batch which has been pending for last two years.

The students who continue to stay in the institute without paying hostel fees were first issued notices in April 2013. Till now they have missed at least half-a-dozen deadlines to submit their diploma films. Now these Students are opposing the assessments saying that no academic activity had taken place during the strike. Students are trying to mobilise all anti BJP forces.

Now they demand that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should come to FTII to resolve the issue. Many known film personalities are supporting agitating students but few have expressed displeasure over the stand taken by them.
