Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has arrested Kyrgystan's former Interior Minister in Moscow and has handed over him to the interim government, which overthrew President Kurmanbek Bakiyev after bloody riots.<br/> <br/>Though there was no word from Russian authorities, the Kyrgyz AKI Press agency reported that former interior minister Moldomusa Kongantiyev was arrested in Moscow yesterday and this morning was brought to Bishkek by air.<br/> <br/>Kongantiyev, a Bakiyev loyalist, was badly beaten by demonstrators in the city of Talas on April 6 and his whereabouts were not know.<br/><br/>According to 'K+' Central Asian News TV Channel, Vice Premier in the interim government Almazbek Atambayev thanked FSB for assisting in nabbing Kongantiyev. At least 84 people were killed and over 1500 in the firing by the security forces in capital Bishkek on April 6. <br/> <br/>Local media said Kongantiyev, was taken to Moscow for treatment via neighbouring Kazakhstan by his wife.<br/><br/>Currently he is being kept in the remand prison of the State Committee of National Security of the Central Asian republic.
