Fresh violence in Kashmir valley leaves three dead

In the Kashmir valley, three persons were killed in fresh violent clashes today even as authorities relaxed curfew for some hours in Srinagar and few other localities. A police spokesman said that two persons died in Palhalhan in Baramullah district when an irate mob blocked the highway and pelted stones on the security forces. He said that police retaliated with firing to bring the situation under control. In a similar incident in Anantnag town, one person died and six others were injured. Curfew was relaxed in civil lines area of Srinagar city for seven hours from 12 in the afternoon and for two hours in the interior city from 3 p.m.
