Kashmir valley is today experiencing yet another snowfall of this season . The higher reaches like Gulmarg have recorded nearly 2 feet of snow while Srinagar and adjourning plains are also under a mild cover of snow. Meanwhile, Jammu Srinagar National Highway remained closed for the second day today due to heavy rain and landslide at various places and continuous snowfall near Jawahar tunnel on the national highway. In Uttarakhand, Cold conditions intensified following the fresh snowfall in higher reaches and rain in other areas of the state. According to AIR correspondent various peaks in Chamoli Uttarkashi and Pithouragarh districts are covered under the snow. Meanwhile normal life in different parts of the state have been affected due to cold conditions today. Met Department says, snowfall and rain are likely to continue in the state for the next 24 hours.
