Fresh set of leaked Scorpene documents published by 'The Australian' newspaper website

'The Australian' newspaper has uploaded a fresh tranche of leaked Scorpene documents on its website. <br/><br/>The new documents relate to information about operating instructions of underwater warfare system of the six Scorpene submarines being built in India by French firm DCNS.<br/><br/>As earlier, the newspaper has blacked out all details which it felt would compromise India's security interests. <br/>However, the new set of documents gives details about the sonar system of the submarines which is used to gather intelligence underwater.<br/><br/>Though the Navy has not yet officially reacted to the release of new documents, sources maintained that it does not compromise national security. <br/><br/>Quoting the sources, news agency PTI reports that the same information about a submarine was on many naval defence websites.<br/><br/>The government says, it is taking up the matter with concerned foreign governments through diplomatic channels. <br/><br/>It clarified that the documents posted have been examined and they do not pose any security compromise as the vital parameters have been blacked out.
