Fresh case of corruption filed against former Jharkhand CM

A fresh case relating to corruption has been filed against former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda and 28 others in the Vigilance Police Station of Ranchi. The case has been filed following a complaint by the Jharkhand State Electricity Board (JSEB). It has been alleged that Mr. Madhu Koda took 11 Crore and fifty lakhs rupees from a private company involved in the works of electrification in Garhwa, Palamu and Latehar districts of Jharkhand under Rajeev Gandhi Electrification Scheme during 2007 to 2009 . Three former Chairmen and other officers of the JSEB and officers of the private company involved in the contracts of electrification works, have been named in list of remaining 28 accused.
