As a part of this year’s ongoing pilgrimage, fresh batch of 3,723 Shri Amarnath yatries left the Jammu base camp for the Cave Shrine in South Kashmir this morning. Amid tight security arrangements, the pilgrims, including 104 women, 88 children, left in a cavalcade of 118 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu for the Valley. The convoy of pilgrims escorted by CRPF, left amid heavy rains in the morning. With this batch, as many as 29,801 pilgrims have left Jammu in nine batches for their onward journey to the cave shrine. Meanwhile, the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has advised all those who intend to visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji, to ascertain the to-date weather conditions in the Yatra area before embarking on their pilgrimage. As per the available weather forecast for the next 5 days, from 8th July to 12th July, the sky is likely to remain cloudy in the Kashmir Division.
