In Iran, fresh clashes have taken place in Tehran during the funeral of a student killed in anti-government protests. Iranian state television says, rival groups of pro- and anti-government protesters both claim the dead man as one of their supporters.In Liyba, protesters clashed with police and government supporters in the eastern city of Benghazi today. According to Al-Jazeera TV, demonstrators gathered in the wee hours of the morning in front of police headquarters and chanted slogans against the corrupt rulers of the country. Reports say, as many as 14 people were injured in the clashes, including three demonstrators and 10 security officials.In Bahrain, protesters are demonstrating for the third day today calling for sweeping political reforms by the Gulf nation's rulers. Thousands of demonstrators spent the night in a makeshift tent city in Manama's landmark Pearl Square. Bahrain is the longtime home to the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet and West Asia's anchor of U.S. defense strategy.Egyptian workers are on strikes despite calls from the new military regime for them to return to work. The life in the country is otherwise almost returned to normal.
