French Open Tennis: Sania, Tecau duo enter Doubles 2nd round

Sania Mirza and her Romanian partner Horia Tecau entered the second round of the Mixed Doubles event in the French Open tennis tournament last night.The Indo-Romanian pair defeated the fourth seeded Polish-Czech pair of Marcin Matkowski and Kveta Peschke by 4-6, 6-3, 10-7. In Women's doubles yesterday, fifth seeds Sania Mirza and Cara Black entered the second round.The Indo-Zimbabwean pair recorded a 6-3 6-3 win over Slovakia's Daniela Hantuchova and Israel's Shahar Peer. In Men's Doubles, sixth seeded Indo-Pak pair of Rohan Bopaana and Aisam Ul Haq Qureshi were ousted in the second round by unseeded Argentinian-Brazilian combo of Jonathan Erlich and Marcelo Melo by 3-6, 4-6, yesterday.In the Mens Single's matches today, World number 2, Novak Djokovic, Swiss Roger Fedrer, 6th ranked Tomas Berdych, Canadian Milos Ranoic will play their third round matches today. Defending champion Rafael Nadal also entered the third round in Paris yesterday.Looking to make the most of the shock defeats of top seeds Serena Williams and Li Na in the women's draw, the third seed Polish Agnieszka Radwanska will play in the third round today. 7th ranked, Russian, Maria Sharapova will also play today.
