In French Open tennis championships, top seeded Serena Williams has bowed out of the Women's Singles by losing the quarter-finals to Samantha Stosur of Australia in three sets 6-2, 6-7, 8-6. The Australian had earlier in the tournament stunned four times former champion Justine Henin. In the day's other Women's Singles quarter-final, Serbian fourth-seeded Jelena Jankovic defeated unseeded Yaroslav Shvedova of Kazakhstan in straight sets 7-5, 6-4.
