Rafael Nadal has reached the French Open Tennis semi-finals as fellow Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta quit with an injury less than an hour into their quarter-final today. Nadal, bidding for a 10th title at Roland Garros, was leading 6-2, 2-0 when Busta, who had received lengthy treatment on an abdominal injury at the end of the first set, decided he could not continue. Nadal will face Dominic Thiem in the semis. In the quarter finals, Thiem defeated Djokovic in straight sets by 7-6, 6-3. In other quarter final bouts, Switzerland's S. Wawrinka will face Croatian Marin ?ili?, while British Andy Murray will play K. Nishikori of Japan later in the evening.
