In French Open tennis, four  quarter final matches and one semi-final are being  played in differrent categories in Paris today. In men's singles, defending champion Rafael Nadal will take to the court  as he continues his quest for an unprecedented 11th Roland Garros crown against Diego Schwartzman in men's singles. Also in action today are third seed Marin Cilic who takes on Juan Martin del Potro. 

In the women's draw, the match between world No 1 Simona Halep and  Angelique Kerber is in progress while in another match,  third seed Garbine Muguruza beat  Maria Sharapova 6-2, 6-1. In men's doubles,the  pair of P.H.Herbert and N.Mahut  beat  N.Jarry and M.Gonzalez  6-4, 7-6 to reach the semi-finals. 

The women's doubles match between pair of T.Babos and K.Miladenovic and E.Hozumi and M.Ninomiya is in progress. In mixed doubles semi-final,  the duo of R.Farah and A.Gronefeld will take on combo of I Dodig and Y.Chan.
