India's Prajnesh Gunnesweran has entered the second round of men's singles at the French Open Qualifiers. In the opening round in Paris yesterday Gunnesweran defeated Italian Salvatore Caruso in straight sets 6-4 6-4.
Two other Indians, Ramkumar Ramanathan and Sumit Nagal lost their first round men's singles matches. While Ramkumar lost to Britain's Jay Clarke in three sets, Sumit Nagal also frittered away a one-set advantage and lost to Slovakian Martin Klizan in three sets.
Another Indian, Yuki Bhambri, has earned direct entry into the main draw after breaking into top-100.
