The Indo-Austrian pair of Leander Paes and Alexander Peya has bowed out of the Men's doubles competition of the French Open Tennis championships. In the second round in Paris today, the pair lost to the combination of Russia's Mikhail Elgin and Uzbekistan's Denis Istomin in straight sets 4-6, 1-6. Later tonight, Leander Paes and his Russian partner Elena Vesnina are slated to meet the French pair of Marc Gicquel and Mathilde Johansson in the Mixed Doubles pre-quarterfinals. In other results today, Czech fourth seed and Wimbledon winner Petra Kvitova and Spain's David Ferrer entered the Singles pre-quarterfinals in their respective sections.
