French Open: Paes, Bopanna in men's doubles third round

India's Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna have sailed into the men's doubles third round with their respective partners at the French Open Tennis. In the tournament being held at Roland Garros in Paris, sixth seeded Indo-Romanian combination of Bopanna and Florian Mergea defeated the French pair of Gregoire Barrere and Quentin Halys 6-3 6-4 in the second round. Paes and his Polish partner Marcin Matkowski, also won their second round match comfortably. The 16th seeds beat the Austrian-German combine of Julian Knowle and Florian Mayer in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. Later today, the top-seeded Indo-Swiss duo of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis, will take on the Japanese pair of Nao Hibino and Eri Hozumi in the women's doubles second round.
