Leander Paes and Cara Black began their French Open mixed doubles campaign with an easy straight set win over the local pair of Pauline Parmentier and Marc Gicquel. The second seeded Indo-Zimbabwean pair beat their local opponents 6-3, 6-3 in the first round of the clay court Grand Slam. They will next take on the winners of the first round match between Rennae Stubbs and Robert Lindstedt and Su-Wei Hsieh – Bruno Soares pair. India's Mahesh Bhupathi and Lizel Huber are top seeds and will open their campaign against Yung-Jan Chan of Taipei and American Eric Butorac.
