In Tennis, the Indian duo of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi has qualified to the second round of the men's doubles competition at the on-going French Open in Paris. In a three setter game, the third seeded Indian pair on Thursday defeated the German combine of Tommy Haas and Philipp Petzschner 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. In the next round, Paes and Bhupathi will meet Australians Ashley Fisher and Stephen Huss.Meanwhile, India's Somdev Devvarman and his Chinese Taipei partner Yen-Hsun Lu failed to clear the first hurdle in the men's doubles event as they lost to the Spanish pair of Feliciano Lopez and Marcel Granollers, 3-6, 4-6.In women's singles event, India's Sania Mirza crashed out in a straight-set defeat against Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland. She lost 2-6, 4-6. However in women's doubles Sania and her Russian partner Elena Vesnina have already advanced to the second round.
