French Open: Li Na becomes first Chinese to reach women's singles final

Sixth seed Li Na has become the first Chinese player to reach the women's singles final of the French Open championships. In the first semi-final played in Paris on Thursday, 29-year old defeated seventh seed Maria Sharapova of Russia in straight sets 6-4, 7-5.For Li, this is her second straight Grand Slam final, having lost to Kim Clijsters in the Australian Open championship match at the start of the year. The second women's singles semi-final between defending champion Francesca Schiavone of Italy and Marion Bartoli of France is also slated for on Thursday.
