Leander Paes and his swiss partner Martina Hingis will take on Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig in the final of the mixed doubles event in the French Open today. Both the teams won the quarterfinals and semi-finals yesterday. Both Mirza and Paes were forced to play two matches yesterday due to a cramped schedule at Roland Garros.Paes and Hingis brushed past the sixth-seeded pair of Andrea Hlavackova and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 in the Semifinal. Second seed Mirza and Dodig also defeated the French pair of Kristina Mladenovic and Pierre-Hugues Herbert 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 in semi-final.Elsewhere, both Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams fought off fierce battles to book their spots in the semi-finals yesterday. Djokovic fought off a challenge from Tomas Berdych to win 6-3 7-5 6-3 while Williams lost the first set against the unseeded Yulia Putintseva but came back to win the match 5-7 6-4 6-1. In Men's singles semi finals, Djokovic will take on Dominic Thiem and Stan Wawrinka meet Andy Murray today. In Women's singles, Serena Williams will meet Kiki Bertens and Garbine Muguruza to face Samantha Stosur in the semi-finals today.
