In today's semi-final, the defending champion defeated Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands in straight sets 7-6, 6-4. In tomorrow's final, the 34-year old American will face Spanish fourth seed Garbine Muguruza who beat Australian 21st seed Samantha Stosur 6-2, 6-4. A win tomorrow, will give Williams her 22nd Grand Slam title, equalling the Open-era record set by Steffi Graf in Paris in 1999. In the Men's section, Novak Djokovic has reached his fourth Singles Final by beating Austria's Dominic Thiem in straight sets 6-2, 6-1, 6-4. The other men's semi-final between Stan Wawrinka an Andy Murray was in progress, when reports last came in.
