Top seed Angelique Kerber of Germany made an exit in the first round of the women's singles in French Open which began in Paris today. Russia's Ekaterina Makarova won the match against Kerber 6-2, 6-2. With this defeat, Kerber became the first WTA Number one to lose in the first round.
