The second Grand Slam of the season, the French Open begins in Paris today. All top players like Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Li Na, Stanislas Wawrinka, Agnieszka Radwanska, Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova are participating in this year's Rolland Garros, which is the only Grand Slam played on a clay court. Somdev Devvarman is the only Indian participating in the Singles. In the first round today, he will take on Aleksandr Nedovyesov of Kazakhstan. Indian players will be seen in action in the Doubles categories as well. Leander Paes, however, has given the tournament a miss this year.
