French Open: Andy Murray to Start Campaign Against Andrey Kuznetsov

In French Open Tennis, world number one Andy Murray will begin his campaign today. In the clay court event, top seeded Briton is pitted against Russian Andrey Kuznetsov in the first round of men's singles event. Stanislas Wawrinka the third seed, Kei Nishikori the 8th seed and Jo Wilfried Tsonga the 12th seed are some of the other top seeded players who will play their opening round matches today.In the women's singles, 3rd seed Simona Halep and 5th seed Elina Svitolina will play their first round matches today.Top ranked Angelique Kerber was ousted in the first round. With the doubles event beginning today, Indian contention will also begin in the tournament, as no Indian qualified for the singles event. In the men's doubles, an all Indian pair of Divij Sharan-Purav Raja and Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna along with their partners are in fray. In women's doubles, Sania Mirza is the lone Indian. She along her partner is 4th seeded. In the mixed doubles, three pair will feature Indians, namely Paes- Martina Hingis, Sania-Ivan Dodig and Bopanna-Gabriela Dabrowski.
