A French delegation of 28 companies led by French Ambassador in India Francois Richier and special representative for economic relations with India Paul Hermelin met with the chief minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje in Jaipur today to explore possibilities of investment in Rajasthan. Mr. Hermelin said that India is in the priority list of french companies and at present french investment in India is about 19 billion euro. He said that France could provide assistance in road and rail network and conservation of heritage sites.Mr Hermelin said that aim of this visit is to mobilize french companies to invest in India. The French Ambassador said, France will invest 1 billion euro in India in next 3 years. He said, French companies are interested in investing in infrastructure, urban development, solar energy and tourism sectors.
