French Armed Forces Minister Florence Parly visited Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd and the Western Naval Command in Mumbai yesterday. She visited the yard where Scorpene submarines are being produced in India. <br/><br/>Mazgaon Dock produces Scorpenes under the transfer of technology agreement. The Dock is India's leading PSU shipbuilders in collaboration with French shipbuilder Naval Group.<br/>Ms Parly boarded the INS Kalvari, the first of these six Scorpene submarines, which have been delivered to the Indian Navy. <br/><br/>She also had a brief tour of Western Naval Command and inspected the stealth guided missile, destroyer, INS Kochi and discussed important issues with vice Admiral Girish Luthra of Western Naval Command.
