In Uttar Pradesh the newly formed Akhilesh Yadav government has announced that free engineering and medical education will be given to girls in government colleges in the state.Addressing a function at Lucknow the Chief Minister said that the government would set up information technology parks across the state to promote science education. He announced that his government would revive Kanya Vidya Dhan scheme to promote education among women. He called upon the youth to adopt new technologies and utilise them for the progress of the state.He released a stamp issued by the postal department on 125th anniversary of famous IT College of the state capital Lucknow.
