Free CWG entry for school children and poor

Commonwealth Games Organising committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi today announced that school children and the poor would be given free entry to watch the games. Addressing a joint press conference along with President of the Games Federation, Mike Fennel, Kalmadi said there is great enthusiasm among the people to witness the events.Replying to a question about poor presence of spectators at some venues, Kalmadi said organising committee is in touch with various schools to allow students to watch the games. He said the move will encourage students to take to sports.Kalmadi said stalls are being set up outside the venues where the general public can buy tickets.Denying charges that the price of tickets are high, Kalmadi said, 6 lakh tickets have already been sold for different sports.
