Earlier, Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bat.India is playing without an injured skipper Virat Kohli, and is led by middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane. Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav makes his Test debut as India go back to five bowler theory with Bhuvneshwar Kumar replacing Ishant Sharma. The series is locked 1-1.
