In Jammu and Kashmir, four terrorists were shot dead in an encounter with security forces near Ban Toll Plaza, Nagrota, on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway this morning.&nbsp;<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Addressing media persons a short while ago in Jammu, Inspector General of Police, Mukesh Singh said that J&amp;K Police and CRPF had received specific input about the movement of terrorists from Samba sector towards Nagrota Ban Toll Plaza. The truck in which they were hiding was stopped for a routine check at about 5 AM.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''However, terrorists fired on the security forces and lobbed grenades. Reinforcements were rushed and in the encounter all the four terrorists were eliminated. He said 11 AK rifles, three pistols, 29 hand grenades and other devices were recovered from four slain terrorists. He said that the terrorists who had infiltrated from across the border had planned to strike in a big way in the Union Territory and were on the way to Kashmir Valley.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''However, he said that their plan was foiled with the timely operation jointly carried out by police, CRPF and the army. IGP said the sanitization operation is still on.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">IGP said the driver of the truck fled from the scene and a man-hunt has been launched to nab him. He stated that two police personnel sustained injuries in the encounter. He also said that their condition is stable. The identity of the slain terrorists is being ascertained.</span><br />
