In Jammu and Kashmir, four army personnel were killed in an avalanche in Ladakh region yesterday. The avalanche at the Southern Glacier hit four jawans of 3 Ladakh Scouts while they were on patrol duty. Udhampur-based Defence Spokesman Col. S.D. Goswami said, soon after the avalanche, a rescue operation was launched but the lives of four soldiers could not be saved.
