Four sentenced to four years imprisonment in Kandhamal riots

In Orissa, four persons have been sentenced to four years imprisonment for their involvement in house burning and other offences during Kandhamal riots in 2008. The sentences were given by Additional Sessions Judge of Fast Track Court Sobhan Kumar Dash in Phulbani today. The court had earler convicted Sunamali Pradhan, Rabi Mallick, Sika Pradhan and Lalaji Pradhan in the crimes. It also imposed a fine of 2,000 rupees each.The four were sentenced for setting fire to houses, rioting and unlawful assembly with deadly weapons at village Khajuripada under G.Udayagiri police station on August 27, 2008.
