In Pakistan, at least four police officers and a child were killed and twenty one others injured when a remote-controlled bomb exploded near a police truck in Peshawar city's Lahori Gate area. A police officer said, the truck was carrying constables heading to start their shift. Militant attacks in Pakistan have raised sharply after US commandos killed al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden in May this year.
