In Uttar Pradesh, four patients succumbed to Encephalitis at the Baba Raghav Das Medical College Hospital in Gorakhpur during the past 24 hours. With this, the death toll due to Encephalitis has mounted to 319 this year in the eastern region alone. Quoting official sources AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports 23 new Encephalitis patients have been admitted to Medical College and other government hospitals of the region during the past 24 hours. AIR Correspondent reports that cases of Dengue and Malaria have also been reported from other parts of the state. One patient of Dengue has also been admitted to Lohia hospital of Lucknow yesterday.
