In the Naxal-affected district of Gadchiroli in Maharashtra, the police authorities claimed to have killed at least four Naxalites and have found the body of a woman at the site where three security personnel were killed and two others injured in an encounter yesterday. The Police sources informed today that the dead woman has been identified as Pranita, a Dalam commander. A .303 rifle and 14 live rounds were also recovered from near her body. Yesterday, two men of the Cobra Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force along with one jawan from the District Police were killed in the Naxalite attack which took place during the search operations in Makadchuha forest area in Gadchiroli taluka. The martyrs were paid homage at the District Police Headquarters last evening before their bodies were taken to their respective native places.
