Four member committee to look into safety aspect of Kundankulam power project

The four member expert committee constituted by the Tamil Nadu government to go into the safety aspects of the Kundankulam nuclear power project will begin its work tomorrow. It will also look in to the apprehensions of the local population. The committee will meet the district authorities and local peoplein TirunelveliBriefing newsmen in Chennai today, after a meeting with the Chief Minister Jayalalitha, convener of the committee Professor Iniyan said members will also hold discussions with group which is spearheading the anti Kundankulam agitation and also visit the plant on Sunday. Iniyan said it would be difficult to set a time frame for submitting its report but it will do its best to complete its assignment as early as possible.
