In Assam, four persons were killed and one injured in two separate incidents of firing in Kokrajhar district last night.

Official sources said that miscreants shot dead four persons at Jiaguri village while a woman was injured at Nalbari area. With this, the death toll has gone up to 10 in Kokrajhar district in the recent violence.

The Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) is reviewing the security situation in Kokrajhar to decide the next course of action for security forces.

Meanwhile, curfrew continues in the district for the third consecutive day today. Security forces today picked up the Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Council Mono Kumar Brahma for questioning for his alleged involvement in the violence.
