A suicide car bomber struck a police check post on the outskirts of Peshawar today, killing at least four persons including policemen and injuring over 15 others in the latest in a series of deadly terrorist attacks in northwest Pakistan.<br/><br/>The bomber detonated his explosives when he was stopped at the check post at Pishtakhara Chowk, the main entry point to Peshawar from the troubled Khyber tribal region. The check post and several shops were damaged. A large number of people were present in a nearby bus terminus and commercial area. <br/><br/>The North West Frontier Province has witnessed a wave of suicide attacks and bombings since the army launched an operation against the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan in South Waziristan tribal region.<br/><br/>Suicide car bombers yesterday struck the Inter-Services Intelligence agency's headquarters in Peshawar and a police station in Bannu, killing 20 people and injuring 85 others.
