In China, at least four people died and forty four others were missing after rain-triggered landslides struck Wama village in southwestern China. The Government said floods and related natural disasters triggered by heavy rains have affected 230 million people nationwide this year and resulted in the evacuation of more than 15 million people. A devastating mudslide in northwestern Gansu province last month left at least 1,467 dead and 298 missing.
