In Punjab, four members of a family were killed and three injured in a head on collision between a car and truck near village Dogranwal on Jalandhar-Amritsar National Highway today. The driver of the car who was seriously injured in the accident has been shifted to a private hospital at Jalandhar. The police said the family was going from Amritsar to Jalandhar Cantt by their car. When they reached near village Dogranwal, the driver of the car tried to save two persons riding on a motorcycle which suddenly came on the way resulting in a head-on collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction. The motorcycle riders were also injured in the mishap. They have been admitted in a local hospital at village Mustfabad and is said to be out of danger.
