Four Indian women boxers to play semi-final bouts of World Championship in Russia today

In Boxing, four Indian pugilists including six-time world champion Mary Kom and debutant Manju Rani will play for the finals in Women's World Championship at Ulan-Ude in Russia today. Lovlina Borgohain and Jamuna Bora, both from Assam, are the other two Indian boxers in the semis.
   
MC Mary Kom in 51kg, who has assured herself of an unprecedented eighth medal irrespective of the gender, will take on second-seeded Turk Busenaz Cakiroglu. Manju Rani will take on Thailand's Chuthamat Raksat.

For Lovlina, it will be an attempt to improve upon her bronze medal in 69 Kilogram category at the same event last year. She will be facing Yang Liu of China. In 54 Kilogram category, Jamuna will clash with top seed Huang Hsiao-Wen of Chinese Taipei in her semi-final match.
