In Assam, four hardcore ULFA militants have been arrested by security forces in a joint operation at Phoolbagan in Dibrugarh district this afternoon. Acting on a tip off, the security forces led by Superintendent of Police of the district, conducted a joint operation in the area and managed to apprehend the militants belonging to the anti-talk group of ULFA from their hide-out. Police recovered five Chinese-made grenades and 150 rounds of ammunition from the possession of the militants.

Meanwhile, on the basis of interrogation of the militants, police and paramilitary forces have launched a massive search operation in the jungles of Barbaruah locality of Dibrugarh district to apprehend more ultra cadres of the group from their hide-outs.
