In Meghalaya, Four Garo militants were gunned down and five others arrested during an encounter with security forces in East Garo Hills district early today. Police said, the encounter took place around 3:AM at Gajingpara near Mendipathar when security forces were conducting a combing operation. The militants belonged to the Garo National Liberation Army and were yet to be identified. Three pistols were recovered from them.
