In Assam, four CRFP personnel died on the spot and 45 were injured when suspected NDFB militants triggered a powerful IED at Bhalukdubi forest area in Goalpara district on Friday morning. The injured have been admitted to Goalpara Civil Hospital. 10 seriously wounded jawans have been shifted to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. According to official sources, the bus carrying the CRPF personnel was proceeding to Goalpara town from Agiya when the blast went off around 8.00 on Friday morning. Police said the IED was planted on the side of the National Highway and it was triggered through a remote control device by the militants hiding in the forest. Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area and have launched a massive man hunt to apprehend the culprits.
