Four bodies out of the five missing sailors of ship MT Pratibha Cauvery, which was grounded by cyclone Nilam, have been found at the Marina Beach. One of the bodies was found near Chennai Harbour another one was washed ashore near Adyar Estuary, another one was found at Chepauk, the fourth one was washed ashore at Ennore. The bodies are yet to be identified.

Five sailors went missing while abandoning the lifeboat that they were using to leave the ship capsized on October 30th, the day of the Cyclone. Local fishermen and the Coast Guard boats and helicopters had on Thursday were involved in rescuing. Two dornier aircrafts were used for rescuing 15 trapped sailors from the ship.
