In west Bengal, four persons were arrested following a complaint of assault lodged by a Jadavpur University professor who posted a cartoon on the internet allegedly showing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in poor light. According to the police, the arrests were made on Saturday after Prof Ambikesh Mohapatra lodged a complaint that he was assaulted by a group of about 15 people on Thursday night for posting the cartoons. However all the four, were given bail on personal security bonds of Rs 500 each by the Alipore court where they were produced
