Four arrested in diamond heist remanded to police custody

Four foreign nationals arrested at the Dubai airport for stealing diamonds in Mumbai have been remanded to police custody by a Mumbai court. The accused were brought to Mumbai this morning from Dubai by the city police.The four have been accused of stealing diamonds, weighing 889 carats worth 6.6 crore rupees from a stall at the International Jewellery Show held at suburban Goregaon on Monday. According to police, the accused had done two reccees of the exhibition hall before stealing the diamonds from a Hong Kong based company's stall. Later, the four managed to leave the country but they were detained at the Dubai airport.
