Union Minister of Human Resource Development Kapil Sibbal laid the foundation stone of IIM, Kashipur in Uttarakhand on Friday, proposed to be built in an area of 200 acres. Speaking on the occasion, Sibbal said the intellectual assets were the real asset of any country. He said that it was the first IIM in the country that was being opened in a suburban area. Presiding over the function, Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that the State Government was making all possible efforts to develop Uttarakhand as a model state in the field of education. He said the IIM, Kashipur would come up with better research programme on hill development.
