In Kerala, the state Minister for Law, Sports, Youth Affairs and Ports Mr. M Vijayakumar today laid the foundation stone for the Bollard Pull Test facility of the Cochin Shipyard at Vizhinjam in Thiruvananthapuram.<br/><br/>The facility, said to be the biggest of its kind in the country, will be set up at a cost of three crore rupees. It is meant to check the pulling capacity of ships and tugs. The facility will be utilised for ships under construction at the Cochin Shipyard and also cater to the requirement of the Coast Guard and the Navy.<br/><br/>An agreement regarding the setting up of the test facility was signed today between the state Ports Department and the Cochin Shipyard.
