Forthcoming budget would be interim, says Chidambaram

Finance Mininster P Chidambaram has said that the forthcoming budget would be an interim one and would accommodate proposals which do not require constitutional amendment. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, the finance minister said changes will be made in tax rates so that they do not require amendments to the laws.He said Insurance Bill not to come up in this Parliament session.Responding to a media query, the Minister said that the passage of SEBI bill would be top priority of the Government.
